SEND
The school operates very effective procedures with regard to children with Special Educational Needs. All children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are offered full access to the school’s broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. The school ensures that, through its culture, practice, and management and deployment of resources, all children’s needs are met.
The school aims to identify, at the earliest opportunity, any child who requires special needs provision. After identification, appropriate assessment is carried out in order to determine the support required. When necessary the school will involve the Learning Support Service or Educational Psychology Service and meet the child’s needs.
The school’s Disability Equality Scheme and Accessibility Plan, explains how we make sure that we promote equality for disabled people and challenge discrimination against them. The Disability and Equality Scheme provides us with a framework for integrating disability equality within all aspects of school life. The full Disability Equality Scheme and Accessibility Plan are available upon request.
